Dorothy M. Rohlfing

 

Dorothy Mae Rohlfing, age 86 of St. Peter and formerly Cleveland, passed away on Thursday, December 20, 2018 at the Benedictine Living Community in St. Peter.

 

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 am on Friday, December 28, 2018 at the Church of The Nativity in Cleveland with Burial at Calvary Cemetery - Scotch Lake. Visitation will be from 4:00 - 7:00pm Thursday at the church with a 7:00pm prayer service. Visitation will also be one hour prior to the service Friday. St. Peter Funeral Home is assisting the family.

 

Dorothy was born on December 15, 1932 in Mankato to Adolph and Iverna (Miller) Fasnacht and is a 1950 graduate of Mankato High School. Dorothy was united in marriage to John Robert Rohlfing on September 4, 1954 at All Saints Catholic Church in Madison Lake. They made their home in Cleveland where she was a homemaker and helped in the family business, Rohlfing’s of Cleveland, Inc. Dorothy was a member of the Nativity CCW and enjoyed spending time with her family, sewing, crocheting, golfing, fishing, playing bridge, entertaining and having drinks with friends. After John’s passing in 1999, she married Duane “Dewey” Rasdall and they enjoyed several years together.

 

Left to remember Dorothy are her children: David (Lezlie), Mary (Dean) Koppelman, Steven “Gump” (Lynell), Patricia Stocker, Jennie (Carl) Stauff, Jim (Lyn) and Carolynn McCourtney; 21 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; siblings: Zita Rohlfing, Tilda Schneider and Lucille (Lyle) Grothe; sisters-in-law June Fasnacht and Georgia Fasnacht; and many other relatives and friends.

 

She was preceded in death by her husbands: John and Dewey; daughter Jane, granddaughter Kari Koppelman and siblings: Jerome (Evie), Cyril (Iverna), Robert, Helen (Louie), Chatleain, Lorraine (Francis) Schraml, Sally (Tony) Reintjes and Joseph.

 

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred the Alzheimer’s Association Minnesota-North Dakota Chapter, or the Benedictine Living Community.
