Eugene "Gene" Kienlen

Eugene "Gene" Kienlen passed away at his home on December 18, 2018.

Funeral Service will be 11:00 am on Friday, December 21, 2018 at the Catholic Church of St. Peter with visitation one hour prior. Burial will be at St. Nicholas Cemetery – Middle Lake. www.saintpeterfuneralhome.com

Gene was born to Charles A. Kienlen and Emma I. Gerlach on November 21, 1928 in Granby Township, Minnesota. Gene spent all of his years in Granby Township; he grew up on the family farm, attended country school, married Lorraine L. (Davis) Kienlen on May 14, 1949, and continued to run the family farm through his later years. Gene enjoyed farming, spending time with his son and grandchildren, as well as making memories with his significant other. Gene was a genuine, caring, loving, proud, and realistic son, brother, father, uncle, cousin, and grandfather. He enjoyed reminiscing about his life achievements and encouraging his immediate family to achieve their dreams and goals. Gene always appreciated the support, help, care, and guidance he receive from others throughout his years.

He is preceded in death by wife Lorraine (Davis) Kienlen and grandson Jason Charles Kienlen, along with other past family and friends.

Gene is survived by Ethel "Joann" Oldenburg, his son Charles and Myra Kienlen, and granddaughters Caroline "Kari", Lorraine, and Elizabeth "Liz" Kienlen.
