Audrey Mae Hanson

Audrey Mae Hanson, age 90, St. Peter, MN, died on Saturday, November 3, 2018, at St Mary’s Hospital, Rochester.  Born January 15, 1928, in New Ulm, Audrey was the seventh of eight children born to John Emil and Mary Florence (Finley) Peterson.  The family resided on a farm near Bernadotte and moved to St. Peter in 1941.   A 1946 graduate of St Peter High School, she was an honor student and worked as a dental assistant while in high school. She married Earl D. Hanson on June 7, 1947 at Trinity Lutheran Church. She worked, and raised a family in St Peter. She was the church secretary at Trinity Lutheran for 33 years, retiring in 2010.

Surviving are her nine children, Stuart (Mary Ann) Hanson, Nancy Hanson, Bradley Hanson, Eric Hanson, Neil Hanson, Mitchell Hanson, Mark Hanson, Mary Hanson-Busch (Michael), Julie Hanson; brother Leslie’s wife Marion Peterson; many grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Earl, brothers Ralph (Garnette), Merton, Curtis (Ruby), Leslie, Sherman (Lorraine), Dennis (Angela) Peterson and sister Lorraine (Clayton) Parsons.

Services will be held Saturday November 10th at 10:30 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 511 South 5th Street, St Peter, MN.  Visitation is Friday November 9th from 4-7pm at the church and continues one hour before the service Saturday.  Arrangements are with St. Peter Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the charity of your choice.
