Dolores Mary McDonough

Dolores Mary McDonough, age 81, passed away Saturday, October 20, 2018 with her family by her side.

Service 11:00 a.m., Friday, October 26, 2018 at the Church of St. Peter in St. Peter, MN. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in St. Peter. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. service on Friday at the church. In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred. St. Peter Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Dolores M. McDonough was born May 20, 1937 to Michael and Mildred (Kieper) Becker in Mankato, Minnesota. She was united in marriage with Merle McDonough on February 8, 1958 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Waseca. The couple raised five children in St. Peter. Dolores worked at Dahleen & O’Brien Dental office for many years. She belonged to St. Mary’s Catholic Church and the Church of St. Peter where she was a member of funeral serving committee.

Dolores enjoyed winters in Texas, camping in Merle’s cove, fishing, Blue Grass and Rock Bend Music festivals and Red Hat Society.

Dolores is survived by her five children: Kelly McDonough (Glenn Untiedt) of North Mankato, Holly (Bill) Gulden of New Orleans, Perry McDonough (Lori Schwichtenberg) of Mankato, Shannon McDonough of Minneapolis, Terry (Angie) McDonough of St. Peter; seven grandchildren: Eric, Alex, Ethan, Evan, Everett, Eleanor, and Rachel; four siblings: Evie Biers, Janet Enger, Helen Erdner, Louis (Judy) Becker; McDonough family: Dean Proechel, Mike McDonough, Steve McDonough, Craig (Cheryl) McDonough, Peggy (David) Wecker; many nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by her parents and husband, Merle in 2011.
