James H. Rheaume, age 85 of St. Peter, died on Friday, April 13, 2018 in St. Peter.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 12:00 pm on Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at the Catholic Church of St. Peter, St. Peter with burial at Calvary Cemetery, St. Peter. Visitation will be 4:00-7:00 Monday at the church with a prayer service at 6:30pm; and also one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred. Jim was born on September 25, 1932 in Kasota to Napoleon and Claire (Connor) Rheaume. He is a 1950 graduate of St. Peter High and served in the US Navy after graduation. He was untied in marriage with Mary Jo Forrey on August 3, 1957 at the Church of St. Peter. They lived in St. Peter where he owned the Flame Bar and later worked until his retirement from Kato Engineering. He was active at the church, was a member of four choirs and an active member of the St. Peter VFW and American Legion. He enjoyed singing, fishing, spending time with friends and people in general and spending time with his family.
Left to remember Jim are his wife of 60 years, Mary Jo; his children: Mark (Sandy) of Belle Plaine, Sally (Neal) Vogel of St. Peter and Mary Lark of Faribault; his grandchildren: Melissa, Mindy, Matt, Gretchen, Alisha and Brianna. He was preceded in death by his oldest child Matthew, his parents, three brothers and four sisters.
