Patrick was born on December 21, 1972 in Mankato to Frank and Lois (Yetter) Dauffenbach. He graduated from St. Peter High School in 1991 and continued his education at Mayville State University in North Dakota and graduated in 1993. Patrick enjoyed his work and for the past eight years he worked for Safe Step Tubs, a family business.

Patrick will always be remembered as a jokester and for having a comical personality. He was a social butterfly and he was selfless to a fault: he was always willing to lend a hand. Patrick was a sports enthusiast, especially for the New England Patriots. He and his son, Brandon, bonded over their love of the Patriots.

Patrick is survived by his father, Frank; children: Brandon, Zach, Jacob, Reilly, Randi, and Zander; siblings, Craig (Stephanie), Scott (Jonna), and Chakara; and nieces and nephews: Christina, Caleb, Caitlyn, and Jay. He was preceded in death by his mother, Lois; grandparents; and nephew, John.
