Ernest Ernie Guillemette

October 10, 1945 — December 30, 2017

Ernest “Ernie” Guillemette, age 72 of St. Peter, died on Saturday, December 30, 2017 while visiting family in Chaska.
Memorial Mass will be 11:00 am Thursday, January 4, 2018 at the Catholic Church of St. Peter with visitation starting at 9:30 am. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Mankato. Memories can be shared at www.saintpeterfuneralhome.com.
Ernie was born on October 10, 1945 in Mankato to Roland and Rose (Whalen) Guillemette. He graduated from Loyola High and entered the US Air Force. After his honorable discharge, he attended Mankato State and graduated with a Master’s degree in Psychology. He was united in marriage to Teresa Jane Ross on July 4, 1963 at St. John the Baptist in Mankato. Ernie enjoyed computers, was an avid sportsman, taxidermy, and sports, including racquetball and tennis.
Left to remember Ernie are his wife Terry; children: Scott (Marie), Jon and Michelle (Scott) Schwake; grandchildren: Ryan, Joey, Steven, Daniel, Michelle, Rachel, Cate, Clare, John, James and Cooper; siblings: Myrna, Loren, Mark, John and Sue; and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, James.
