Amelia “Amy” L. Goodell, age 79 of St. Peter, MN passed away at River’s Edge Hospital, St. Peter.
A celebration of her life will be held on Monday, August 28, 2017, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at St. Peter Funeral Home. Memorial services will be Tuesday, August 29, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. at First Lutheran Church in St. Peter, with Pastor Alan Bray officiating. Interment will be at Resurrection Cemetery, St. Peter.
Amy was born May 7, 1937, to Justo and Lucille Murilla in Madison Lake, MN. She attended Loyola High School. On January 3, 1960, she was united in marriage to Richard Goodell Sr. in Eagle Lake, MN. Amy retired from Alumacraft Boat Company after more than 30 years. She also worked many different jobs through the years, but found her role as loving wife, mother, and grandmother to be the most enjoyable and rewarding. Amy loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. She was a member of Vine Faith in Action and enjoyed attending activities there. She also enjoyed bird watching, watching Nascar, Vikings, MN Wild, dirt track racing, visiting with friends and relatives, and helping those in need. Amy was a loving, kind, and generous woman who touched the lives of many. Amy will be deeply missed by her family and by all of those who knew her.
Amy is survived by her loving family: husband of 57 years, Richard; daughters, Linda Stavne, Carol (Dan) Kramer, and Christine (Bruce) Manteufel; 11 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren, godchildren, nieces, and nephews; brother, Pete (Nancy) Murilla; and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 sisters, 5 brothers, son and granddaughter.
