Clarence H. Rehome, 85, of St. Peter, passed Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at Mayo Clinic Health System in Mankato among those he loved. A Memorial Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, January 2, 2017 at the Church of St. Peter in St. Peter with visitation at 9 a.m. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery, St. Peter.  St. Peter Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Clarence was born on August 17, 1931 in Cleveland Township, Le Sueur County to John Peter and Francis (Schoeb) Rehome. He was united in marriage to Luverne M. Hopp on May 20, 1952 in Charles City, Iowa. They lived in St. Peter their entire lives, raising their family there. Clarence primarily worked in road construction at Komatz Construction, but throughout his life worked at many other area companies. He was a member of the Red Men Club in St. Peter and enjoyed dancing, cards, the Minnesota Vikings, and morning coffee with his friends. He was known for his laugh, jokes, and quick wit; being kind, and being a provider for his family. His family was his top priority, and he took great pride in the many accomplishments of his children and grandchildren.

Left to remember Clarence are his special friend, Joy Heilman; his children: David (Cora) of Tomah, WI; Charles (Al) of Converse, TX; Thomas (Alicia) of Marbury, AL; Joseph (Kathryn) of Burnsville; Cindy (Dan) Wegscheid of St. Peter; and Steven (Dona) of North Mankato; 14 grandchildren: Paul, Debbra, Mike, Matt, Michelle, Rachel, Dillon, Kyle, Kelsey, Amy, Becca, Emily, Hanna and Claire; 13 great grandchildren; sister: Jeanne (Bill) Tetzloff of Mankato; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Luverne in 2006; his parents; and two sisters: Rosemary Rausch and Ginny Biehn.
