Gregory Eugene Wendinger

Gregory “Greg” Wendinger, age 54 of St. Peter, died Saturday, December 24, 2016 at his home surrounded by family.

 Funeral service will be 11:00 am on Saturday, December 31, 2016 at First Lutheran Church in Le Sueur with visitation starting at 9:00 am. St. Peter Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.

 Gregory Eugene was born on September 8, 1962 in Sleepy Eye to Eugene and Mary Ann (Gitter) Wendinger and was baptized and confirmed at St. Andrews Catholic church in Fairfax, MN. He graduated from Fairfax High School in 1982 and was united in marriage to his high school sweetheart, Rhonda Dahlquist on September 4, 1982. They lived several places in the area and currently resided in St. Peter. Greg was employed as a welder for Chart Industries in New Prague. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, cooking, gathering with friends and family and most importantly spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 34 years, Rhonda; daughter: Ida (Dan) Johnson with grandchildren Tyler and Taylor; son: Anthony; mother: Mary Ann (Don) Domeier; siblings: Kenneth (Gwen), Connie (Steve) Rorvig, Bonnie, Penny (Rodney) Knutsen, Pat (Julie), Lonnie (Laura) and Gene (Katie); many nieces, nephews and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his father, Eugene.
