Mattie Margrete Triplett

Mattie Margrete Triplett (Parrish), 79, of St. Peter, Minnesota passed away peacefully on December 1, 2016 at her home.

Mattie Parrish was born in Minneapolis on March 10th, 1937, the oldest of eight children, to Harry and Phoebe Parrish. On April 7th, 1961, she was married to Curtis Raymond Triplett, and during their marriage they were blessed with four children.

Mattie enjoyed reading, completing crosswords, learning more about her family history, and adventures with her cousins Glen and Bob. She greatly valued time spent with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, special friend Jeanette Sargent, and sister of the heart Phylis Smith.

She was preceded in death by her husband Curtis; grandson Wayne Curtis Smeisek; parents Harry and Phoebe; brothers Jim, Dwight, Ray, and David; and sister Barb.

Mattie will be dearly missed by her children Robert (Patty) Triplett, Elizabeth “Betsy” (Scott) Roesch, Stephen (Jerry Olson) Triplett, and Lucinda “Cindy” (Rick) Sargent; grandchildren Jeremy-Joe, Harry, and Jason Triplett, David and Christopher Neilson, Danica and Taleah Roesch, Kayla, Thom, Dustin, Dylan, Bradley, Andrew, and Travis Sargent; great-grandchildren Taylor, Anna, Landon, and Carter Neilson, Seth Richards and Sophia Neilson, Carter Wills and Jacob Huss, and Spencer and Annabelle Clipperton; siblings Kathey DeBore, Lola Cottew, and Jim Parrish; and many loving nieces and nephews.

An intimate gathering of family and friends will be held on Tuesday, December 6, 2016 from 2-7 p.m. at St. Peter Funeral Home in St. Peter, Minnesota.
