Angela Rose Widi, a long time resident of St. Peter, died on Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at the age of 101 years.
Angela was born in St. Paul, Minnesota on September 21, 1915 of parents Francesco and Isolina Widi, immigrants from Italy. After graduating from high school, she worked at Maudry’s Apothecary in St. Paul for many years, and lived in her family home there. Upon retiring, she lived out her remaining days in St. Peter with her sister Mary Bravo and her brother Jack Widi. Her family, who always knew her as “Auntie,” was always her first priority. Auntie loved gardening and playing cards.
She is survived by one great-nephew and five great-nieces, as well as twelve great-grand nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Mary (Widi) Bravo, her brother Jack Widi, her niece Mary Ann (Bravo) Koenecke, and her nephew John Bravo.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at the Church of St. Peter in St. Peter with Fr. Todd Petersen officiating. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery, St. Peter. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. St. Peter Funeral Home - Klein Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
