David Steven Nygard

David Steven Nygard, age forty, passed away on December 7, 2015 from a rare medical condition. He was born in St. Peter, Minnesota to Steven and Lynda Nygard. He was confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church in St. Peter. He graduated from St. Peter High School in 1994. He was married to Sally Baker until 1998 and they were blessed with one daughter, Carissa Kay.    
 Dave worked at Hardees and Hewitt Roll-a-Dock for many years. Most recently, he was an evening supervisor at Creation Technologies in St. Peter. Dave enjoyed working with computers. He loved his job and his co-workers/friends.    
 Dave enjoyed watching the Vikings, challenging Mom to a game of Internet Scrabble and playing other Internet games.     
Dave is survived by his daughter Carissa, mother Lynda, Uncle Richard Hanson, Uncle Ron and Aunt Cheryl Hanson, cousins Heather and Dustin and their families, Aunt Andrea Nygard, Uncle Dennis and Aunt Marian Nygard, cousins Paul and Brian, and their families.    
 He was preceded in death by his father, Steven Nygard, his paternal grandparents, George and Eleanor Nygard and his maternal grandparents, Gerald and Betty Hanson.
Funeral service will be 2 pm on Friday, December 11, 2015 at Trinity Lutheran Church, St. Peter. Visitation will be 4:00 – 6:00 pm on Thursday at St. Peter Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers – donations to Mayo Clinic Research Foundation preferred.
