Calvin Kopischke

Calvin Kopischke, age 66 of St. Peter, died on Sunday, November 1, 2015 at his home. Funeral service will be at 11:00 am on Monday, November 9, 2015 at St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church in St. Peter. Visitation will be from 3:00 - 5:00 pm Sunday at St. Peter Funeral Home and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church. Calvin was born on September 10, 1949 in Sleepy Eye to Alfred and Orvilla (Penning) Kopischke. He graduated from Morgan High School and then received his certificate in welding and refrigeration from South Central College. He served in the US Army and was honorably discharged in 1971. He was united in marriage to Darlene Zachow on April 15, 1972 in Redwood Falls. Calvin was employed by Underwriters Laboratories (UL) as an inspector. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, the outdoors and drives in the countryside. Left to remember Calvin are his wife, Darlene; children: Rachel Ernsting and grandchildren Roanne and Brielle, Karin and grandchildren Sabrina, Eli and Tyler & Zachariah (Teri Walton) and grandchildren Zyriah, Zyiana and Zuri; twin brother Ken; sister Janet Nygaard; other extended family, including Maiya; and all the close friends who have helped over the years. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Don.
