Loving wife, mother, grandma, great-grandma, and sister, Margaret Ann Wenner, age 81, of St. Peter, died Friday, July 17, at her home. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 22, at the Church of St. Peter. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Tuesday at church, with a 7 p.m. Prayer Service. Visitation continues one hour prior to service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to John Ireland School. St. Peter Funeral Home handled the arrangements. Margaret was born August 18, 1933, to Lawrence and Rose Leonard in St. Peter, Minnesota. She was elected homecoming queen and graduated from St. Peter High School in 1951. She married Clifford "Skip" Wenner on October 11, 1954. Margaret devoted her life to raising her eight children and taking care of her many grandchildren. She was a blessing to her family and will always be remembered as an example of quiet strength, faith, and living life to serve others. She enjoyed reading, doing puzzles, listening to Twins baseball on the radio, sewing, and quilting. Margaret is survived by her husband, Clifford "Skip" Wenner; eight children: Natalie (Nick) Hall of St. Paul and their children, Sharon, David, Loretta and Nicholas; Julie (Ed) Niebur of Hastings and their children, Leah (Alex), Maggie, Teresa, and Rachel; Gregg (Lori) Wenner of North Mankato and their children, Staci (Kyle), and great grandchildren, Rhyan and Travis; Patty (Dan) Johnson of Woodbury and their children, Mitch (Marcie) and Matt; Bruce (Heidi) Wenner of St. Peter and their children, Marty, Megan (Taylor), Mackenzie and Michael; Gary Wenner of St. Peter; Barb (Jeff) Holmin of Nicollet and their children, Kelly and Anna; and Colleen Wenner of St. Peter; five sisters, Lorraine (Ray) Owen, Mary (Don) Loizeaux, Helen Churchill, Agnes (Joe) Shields, Joan (Jim) Oak; four brothers, Jim (Florence), Bill (Judy), Roger (Marlene), and Clem (Betty) Leonard; and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Betty Sexton; and grandsons, Joseph Hall and Eddie Niebur, Jr.
