Inez A. Vandinburg

Inez A. Vandinburg, age 92, of St. Peter, died February 10, 2015. Memorial Service will be held at 1 p.m., Thursday, May 7, 2015 at Trinity Lutheran Church, St. Peter. Visitation will be held one hour before service at the church. Private family interment will be in Greenhill Cemetery, St. Peter. St. Peter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Inez was born August 17, 1922 in Granada, Minnesota to Deidrich Johnson and Emma Katherine (Warner) Gronewald. She was united in marriage to Roy Vandinburg on September 9, 1951 in Fairmont. Inez and Roy owned and operated the Cliff Kyes Motel in Mankato for many years until retiring. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, St. Peter. Inez loved reading and flower gardening. Inez is survived by her children, Roy "Skip" Vandinburg and Barb Thompson; grandsons, Andrew Thompson, Steven and Michael Vandinburg; sisters-in-law, Norma and Dolores Gronewald; many nieces, nephews, and friends. Inez was preceded in death by husband, Roy; sisters, Jeannette Gronewald, Maxine (Walter) Bober, Lavonne (Marlin) Nave; brothers, Max and Don Gronewald; infant brother, LeRoy; son-in-law, Jerry Thompson; sisters and brothers-in-law, Carl and Marie Forsberg, Cliff and Charlotte Kyes.
