Anna Mae Wiest

Anna Mae Wiest, age 103 of St. Peter, passed away on Sunday, March 8, 2015 at Mayo Clinic Health System in Mankato. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, March 13, 2015 at First Presbyterian Church in Kasota with visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery, St. Peter. St. Peter Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements. Anna Mae was born on January 25, 1912 in Washington Township, Le Sueur County to Irad L. and Kate (McGorman) Kendall. She graduated from St. Peter High School in 1931 and from Mankato Commercial College in 1932. She was employed by Nicollet County for 30 years as deputy clerk of district court. On May 29, 1957, she was united in marriage to Henry E. Wiest. She was a member of First Presbyterian in Kasota and enjoyed fishing, swimming, cooking, entertaining, knitting and playing cards. Anna Mae was preceded in death by her husband, parents, a brother and two sisters. She will be dearly missed by her two nephews, Kenneth Fechter and Bill Warner, and niece Jeanne (Jeff) Zlonis, as well as her great nieces and nephews.
