Kenneth Pufpaff

February 21, 1942 — March 3, 2015

Kenneth Herman Pufpaff, age 73 of Le Sueur, MN, passed away on Tuesday, March 3rd, 2015 at Mayo Clinic Health Services hospital in Mankato, MN. after a courageous 18 month battle with cancer. Ken was born on February 21st, 1942 in Cleveland MN, he and graduated from Nicollet High School in 1960. Proud of his service to his country, Ken was a United States Army Veteran, serving in Germany from October, 1960 through November, 1963, during the Berlin crisis. Ken worked as a Journeyman Millwright for Crown Cork and Seal in Mankato for 40 years. A mechanical genius, his love for engines varied from snowmobiles to repairing and sometimes modifying various pieces of farm equipment. Ken raced snowmobiles, & it became a family affair, with many great memories of family trail rides and races. Ken enjoyed golf and he along with Sandee were past members of Shoreland C.C. Ken enjoyed his horses, owning and boarding quarter horses, Ken and Sandee were past members of the Le Sueur Saddle Club. A lifelong passion for hunting, he and Christopher went to Colorado and Montana as well as many areas of Minnesota on hunting trips, which usually resulted in success. Ken's knowledge, skill and expertise were traits he passed on to Christopher. Ken and Sandee have property near Sauk Center, where he would spend as much of his time with Sandee as possible, caring for the property every chance he could get away. In his retirement years, Ken enjoyed spending the winters in Mesa, AZ with his wife and friends from the St. Peter area along with the many friends he made along the way, fishing, swimming and enjoying the sun. Ken was an excellent grandfather and had a soft spot in his heart for his 3 granddaughters, all of whom loved him dearly. Loved and deeply missed, he is survived by his wife of over 50 years, Sandra. Two sons, Christopher (Perla) of Le Sueur and Michael (Kristen) of Chicago, IL. Three loving granddaughters, Cerraine, Sierra and Leila, also sisters, Deloris and Nancy along with many nieces and nephews. A pending private memorial service will be held. St. Peter Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.
