Visitation will be held Thursday evening at St. Peter Funeral Home Klein Chapel from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow the service at Kasota Hill Cemetery. Kale Gunderson was born February 1, 2015 in Mankato to a family that anxiously awaited his arrival. Kale's life of eight days would seem too short to many, but those who were touched by him understood that he left a big impact on the hearts of all that knew him. He was baptized as a child of God on February 6, 2015. Although he will be missed every day, especially his winning smile, courageous and strong personality, he will forever remain in our hearts. Kale Gunderson was granted his angel wings on February 9, 2015 at Children's Hospital in Minneapolis. He is survived by his parents, Ryan and Jessica Gunderson of Kasota; sister, Keera Gunderson; grandparents, Tim and Stacy Gunderson of rural Kasota, Randy and Brenda Johnson of St. Peter; many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his great grandparents, Janet Anderson, David Melby, Eugene and Irene Johnson and Barb Gunderson. The family wants to extend a heartfelt gratitude to the Children's Hospital for all their amazing love and care they provided Kale and to the Ronald McDonald House for the generous hospitality.
