Valborg “Vallie” Pearson

Valborg Geoline Pearson was born on the Pearson family farm in Norseland MN on April 24, 1916 and died at the Benedictine Senior Living Center in St. Peter MN on February 2, 2015. She was the daughter of Aaron E. and Geoline D. Pearson. "Vallie" attended Nicollet County country schools & went to Saint Peter High School in Saint Peter. She taught in country school for several years and then got her teaching certificate from St. Cloud State College. She taught elementary school first in Litchfield & then in Albert Lea. She then moved to the Mankato Elementary School system, teaching there for over 30 years. She was preceded in death by her father & mother; brothers Theodore Henri, John Victor and Paul William and sisters, Mildred Evangeline and Ruth Evelyn and a nephew, John Victor Pearson, Jr. She is survived by nieces Elizabeth Pearson "Betty" Brand & husband, Rick, of Henderson NC and Sarah Pearson "Sally" Kelley & husband, Bob, from Luray, VA along with many cousins & friends. The funeral service will be held at Scandian Grove Lutheran Church at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 7th. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. at the church. Interment will be at Resurrection Cemetery in St. Peter. St. Peter Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Scandian Grove Lutheran Church in Norseland, First Lutheran Church in St. Peter or the Aaron & Geoline Pearson Music Scholarship at Gustavus Adolphus College, St. Peter, MN.
