Ervin Gerald “Bunc” Biehn

Ervin "Bunc" Biehn, age 90 of St. Peter, died on Saturday, January 24, 2015 at Central Health Care in Le Center. Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, January 30, 2015 at the Church of the Immaculate Conception in Marysburg with visitation one hour prior to the service. Urn burial will be in the church cemetery. St. Peter Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Ervin was born July 3, 1924 to Otto and Lena (Rau) Biehn in Washington Township, Le Sueur County. He married Iris May Bohlen on June 7, 1949 at the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Marysburg. Ervin Served in the United States Navy from 1946 to 1948. He played amateur baseball for Madison Lake and was a Golden Gloves boxing coach. Ervin worked for Johnson Reel in Mankato and sold The Farmer insurance until his retirement. He also served at the Kasota Township clerk. His family, friends and hobbies kept him busy in retirement. He enjoyed golfing, gardening, bowling, cross country skiing, square dancing and attending his grandchildren's school and sporting events. Ervin will be missed by his family: son Timothy (Deanna Becker) of Cleveland and their children Amanda (Scott) Jaeger with children Addison, Ella and Briea of St. Peter, Michael (Victoria) of Cleveland and Amber (special friend Jeff Gabel) of Cleveland; son Joseph (Suzanne Derner) of Sherburn and their children Megan, Stephanie and Alexander; daughter Teresa (Steven) Maas of Madison Lake and their children Allison (Kyle) MacArthur of Blue Earth and Thomas (Amanda) with son Jack of Andover; daughter Anne (Paul) Johnson of Carson City NV and their children Kelly and Scott; son John (Amy Needham) of Hartland MI and their children Tristan and Aidan. Also sister Eunice Libaire of Osakis MN; and sisters-in-law Vernette "Nettie" Biehn and Nina Hinze. Ervin was preceded in death by his wife Iris in 1993, his parents; sisters: Isabel Tardy, Catherine Rumsy, Evelyn Annexstad, Virginian Abrahamson, Erva Harty (his twin) and Vivian Greenig; and brother Ramon "Mickey" Biehn.
