Alan "Bundy" Weingartz, age 54 of St. Peter, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, January 2, 2015. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, January 9, 2015 at Trinity Lutheran Church in St. Peter with burial at Kasota Hill Cemetery, Kasota. Visitation will be from 4:00 - 7:00 pm Thursday at Trinity Lutheran and continue one hour prior to the service Friday. St. Peter Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Alan Gerard was born on October 15, 1960 in Mankato to George and Doris (Steinbach) Weingartz. He graduated from Mankato West and attended South Central College, graduating with a degree in welding. On October 30, 1993 Al was united in marriage to Patricia Wilking and built their life on the farm living outside of St. Peter with their two sons, Cody and Trevette. He worked for Door Engineering in Kasota and was currently employed at Jarraff Industries in St. Peter. He was a member of the Kato Cycle Club and was a "Jack of all trades". Al enjoyed fishing, camping, watching sports, grilling, but most importantly hanging out with family. Left to remember Al are his wife, Patty; sons: Cody and Trevette "Trevy"; mother: Doris Just; brothers: David (Connie), Steven (Dianne) and Mark (Pam); sisters-in-law: Cheryl (Aaron) Furst, Randy and Gail; brothers-in-law: Barry, Tim (Kim), Todd and Doyle; many special nieces and nephews; special buddy Olivia Stevens, special friend of the family Emily Wegscheid and furry friends Maddie and Kali. He was preceded in death by his father George and step father Ray; sister-in-law Debbie; nephews Jacob and Trae.
