Wayne Loeffler

Wayne Loeffler, age 81 of Cleveland, died on Friday, November 7, 2014 at the Benedictine Living Community in St. Peter. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran (Bell) Church (21395 Tetonka Lake Road) in rural Waterville. Visitation will be from 4:00 - 7:00 pm on Monday at St. Peter Funeral Home and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday. Wayne was born on August 21, 1933 in Le Sueur County to Paul and Edna (Morsching) Loeffler. He graduated from Cleveland High School and farmed with his father. He also did various welding and repair jobs in the area. He was a lifetime NRA member and was Secretary at the church for several years. He was united in marriage to Karen Rieke in Fairfax, Minnesota. They were later divorced. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and being with family. Left to remember Wayne are his children: Lynn (Deb) and grandsons Grant and Nicholas of Cleveland, and LaVonne (Steve Clercx) of St. Peter; Aunts: Darlene Loeffler and Alma Bosacker; and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
