Marilyn Clarece Theis, age 83 of St. Peter, died Saturday, May 25, 2013 at home surrounded by loving family.

A Celebration of Marilyn's Life will be held at 2:30 p.m., Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at St. Peter Funeral Home with visitation starting at 1 p.m. A private family burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.

Marilyn was born May 6, 1930 to Clarence and Alma (Redning) Edlund in Minneapolis. She graduated from St. Peter High School in 1948. On April 19, 1952, Marilyn was united in marriage to Roger Theis. They made their home in St. Peter and were blessed with six children. Marilyn had worked as a dental assistant, phone operator, and business associate for Theis Plumbing and Heating. She was a strong, hard working, loving wife, mother and caregiver. Marilyn would help anyone who needed it. She loved to tell jokes, laugh, and have fun interacting with people. Marilyn enjoyed music, playing cards, and fishing.

Marilyn is survived by five children: Bob Theis of Seattle, WA; Dan (Barb) Theis of St. Peter; Bill (Diane) Theis of Hudson, WI; Kathy (Larry) Mead of Waterville; and Ron (Connie) Theis of West Bend, WI; 15 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren: Rachel and Bobby and their daughter, Ragan; Natalie and Todd and their sons, Nathan and Wyatt; Sara and Blair; Megan and Ryan and their children: Max and Daphne; Caitlyn and Bryson and their daughter, Ella; Jacob and Daniel; Cain and Renaes daughter, Jewel; Kari and Justin and their children, Erin, Taylor, Brandon, Jordan, Teddy, Tyson, Brooklynn, and Karissa; Hillary and Dave; Michelle and Tony; Erik and Callie; Brian and Mercedes and their daughters, Candela and Ariana; Adam and Isaac; and five siblings: Jim Stallcop, Milo Stallcop, Candace Hayes, Cecil Stallcop and Jim Edlund.

Marilyn was preceded in death by husband, Roger; daughter, Geri; grandson, Cain; brother, Eddie Stallcop; and Ole Mork.
