Claire Anne Buckeye Warrant, age 83 of Kasota, passed away Sunday, June 9, 2013 at River's Edge Hospital in St. Peter surrounded by her loving family.

Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 12, 2013 at the First Presbyterian Church of Kasota with Rev. Chris Conlin officiating. Burial will be in Kasota Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m., Tuesday at St. Peter Funeral Home " Klein Chapel and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church.

Claire Anne was born January 22, 1930 to Ralph and Mae Buckeye of rural Nicollet. She attended schools in Judson, Nicollet and graduated from Mankato High School in 1948. She attended Macalester College and graduated from the University of Minnesota in 1950 with an Associates of Liberal Arts Degree. As a young woman, Claire Anne was very involved in youth activities in the Presbyterian Church where she met her future husband. On August 19, 1950, Claire Anne was united in marriage to George Warrant. They were blessed with six children. She worked at Bonnie's Apparel and later owned the business with much joy in serving her customers. Claire Anne was a very active member of the First Presbyterian Church of Kasota and the Anthony Wayne Chapter of the D.A.R, in which she recently received honors for her lifelong activity. She enjoyed and sought to spread the joy of Christian Life and Hope to all she knew. Among Claire Anne's joys was her lifetime of singing in a number of groups including the church choir. She also enjoyed working in Campfire Girls, Church Women's Society, and other opportunities to share her faith. Claire Anne enjoyed traveling with her husband, beautiful sunsets, and making others happy.

Claire Anne is survived by her husband, George; son: George William (Rhonda) Mueller-Warrant and their children: Zachary (Molly), Piper (Peter), Annie, and Alex and great-grandson: Calvin; daughter: Lois Mae (Casey) Warren and their children: Eli (Lori), Shane (Stephanie), and Liberty (Tim); daughter: Charlotte Jeanne (Rick Stoecker) Hanson and her children: Nate (Craig), Chris (Katie), Leah, and Dan and great-grandchildren: Alison, Addison, Hayden, and Gavin; daughter: Mary Anne (Greg) Iden and their children: Tiffany and Cassel; son: David Benjamin and his daughter, Jessi (Erik) and great-grandchild to be.

Claire Anne was preceded in death by her parents; son: Peter John Warrant; sister: Ruth Bristol Bond; brother: Don Buckeye and numerous friends.
