Myra Hermel, age 89 of St. Peter, died on Saturday, September 07, 2013 at her home.
Visitation will be held from 4 " 7 pm on Monday, September 9, 2013 at St. Peter Funeral Home " Klein Chapel. A private family service and burial will be held Tuesday. Memorials may be directed toward St. Jude's Children's Research.
Myra Helen was born on July 11, 1924 in St. Peter to Edward and Norma (Pell) Johnson. On January 16, 1945 she was united in marriage to Howard A. Hermel in Denver, Colorado. They made their home in St. Peter and Myra helped Howard at AH Hermel Company. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in St. Peter. She enjoyed winters in Naples, Fl and she loved to fly. She was the best co-pilot Howard ever had. She was especially fond of their trips together to the Dominican Republic. Her Family meant the world to her, and she enjoyed being around her grandchildren.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 68 year, Howard; son David (Darcy); grandchildren: Blake, Kaila (Andrew) Roeder, and Alex; great granddaughter Stella; siblings: Carol (Martin) Menk, "Billee" Peterson, and Pell (Theresa) Johnson; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a son, John Howard and a sister, Gloria.
