Lowell W Blank

Lowell W. Blank, age 84, of Kasota died on Saturday, October 26, 2013 at his home.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 30 at 1:00 p.m. at the St. Peter Funeral Home. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Zion Cemetery (family cemetery) in Nicollet. Memorials are preferred to the Red Cross or the donor's choice.

Lowell was born on August 21, 1929 in Nicollet to Clarence and Lillian (Miller) Blank. Lowell served in the United States Army during the Korean War. On October 23, 1954, Lowell was united in marriage to Carollee Bathke at St. Paul's Evangelical Church. He farmed in Nicollet and in 1958 moved to Kasota where he farmed for many years. Lowell enjoyed playing solitaire and watching sports.

Lowell is survived by his wife, Carollee of Kasota; children, Scott of Kasota and Debra (Mark) Birr of Kasota; siblings, Harlan (Mary) Blank, Lois Steece, and Clifford (Judy) Blank, all of Nicollet; two sisters-in-law, Kathy Blank and Elaine Blank both of Nicollet; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Vernon and Earl.
