Sandra "Hammy" Foster, age 64 of St. Peter, died on Monday, November 25, 2013 at River's Edge Hospital in St. Peter.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, December 2, 2013 at Trinity Lutheran Church in St. Peter with burial at Greenhill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 " 8:00 pm on Sunday at the church and will continue Monday, one hour prior to the service. St. Peter Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.
Sandra Jane was born on October 23, 1949 in New Ulm to Arthur and Mabel (Quiram) Fahning. She graduated form St. Peter High School in 1967. She was united in marriage to Harry Joseph Foster on December 18, 1976 at Trinity Lutheran in St. Peter. She worked at Gustavus Adolphus College in food service for 18 years, the St. Peter School District for 5 years and was currently a day care provider. She also spent 16 years as the director for Santa Anonymous in St. Peter. She enjoyed baking, cooking, cake decorating, genealogy, reading and listening to Christian music.
Left to remember her are her husband, Harry; daughter Shannon (Joe) Zachman; grandchildren: Michaela, Alexandra, Victoria and Beckett; mother, Mabel; sisters: Darlene (George) Poehler, Judy (Alfred) Fox and Debra (Roger) Johnson; brothers: Donald (Karen), Rollin (Linda), Wayne (Sandra) and Rickie; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her father: brother: Gary: sister: Rita; and several nieces and nephews.
