Lloyd Elton, age 83 of St. Peter died on Friday, July 06, 2012 at Grandview Good Samaritan Center.
Memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, July 11, 2012 at First Lutheran Church in St. Peter. Memorials may be directed toward Mayo Clinic Health System Hospice. St. Peter Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Lloyd was born on March 4, 1929 in Granite Falls to Edwin and Esther (Peterson) Elton. He graduated from Granite Falls High School and furthered his Education at the University of Minnesota, St. Paul. After graduating, he worked for Cargill Seed Research in St. Peter. On March 28, 1967 he was united in marriage to Elaine Johnson at Bethel Lutheran Church in St. Paul. They made their home in St. Peter and were members of First Lutheran Church. Lloyd was a member of the St. Peter Kiwanis Club, and he enjoyed golf and playing cards.
He is survived by a sister, Othelia Kunitz, good friend Mary, a niece and nephew. He was preceded in death by his wife, Elaine on February 20, 1996.
