Virginia M. Knish, age 88 of Le Center died on Saturday, October 6, 1012 at the Benedictine Living Community in St. Peter.
Virginia was born on April 15, 1924 in New Ulm to Arthur and Martha Meerfeld. She owned and operated Harry's Bar B-Q and resort on German and Jefferson Lakes in Cleveland for many years. She also worked at the St. Peter State Hospital as the reimbursement officer for 29 years.
Virginia is survived by three sons: Gary (Adeline) Frank Kamatchus of Mankato, Steven Frank of Kasota and Sheriff Ted Kamatchus of Marshalltown IA; five grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother: Ellsworth; sister: Elvira Meerfeld; and husbands: Donald Frank, Harry Kamatchus and William Knish.
A private gathering will be held at a later date. St. Peter Funeral Home " Klein Chapel is assisting with arrangements.
