Lois (Anderson) Reineke was born February 10, 1933, to Howard and Grace Anderson in Fairmont, MN. She attended country school and graduated from Fairmont high school in 1951. On August 14, 1952, she married Wallace Reineke. They lived in Mankato for 3 years while Wally attended college. They moved to St.Peter where they spent the majority of their family years. While Wally was in the insurance business, Lois was a devoted house wife, mother, and homemaker. While raising 5 children, she also worked part-time jobs. She worked full-time for 17 years at Gustavus Adolphus in food service. She had a passion for collecting and restoring antiques with her best friend Mona Schwartz. Lois and Wally spent their retirement summers at Lake Mille Lacs fishing for walleye with their good friends Pat and Bruce Sheldon. They made winter trips to Gulf Shores, Alabama. Lois was a member of St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church for 53 years, where she served on the altar guild and a member of ladies aid. She also volunteered at the food shelf in St.Peter. Lois was a very compassionate, giving, and loving person. She loved people and socializing. She was blessed with the "gift to gab". She adored her husband of 60 years, children, grandchildren, and treasured taking care of her great grandchildren. Lois passed away on October 15, 2012 at the Benedictine Living Community in St. Peter surrounded by her family.

Lois leaves behind husband Wally, children Jan LeRoss of LeSueur, Julie Dupuis of St.Peter, Joe Reineke of Kasota, Jill Hollnagel of LeSueur, and late son Jeff's life partner Barb Samuelson of St.Peter. Grandkids Liz (Tim) Baird, Dena and Brian Dupuis, Lindsey and Trevor LeRoss, Matt (Melissa) Hollnagel, Sarah (Dan) Straub, and Jeremiah Fettig. Great grandkids Evan and Olivia Baird, Kyan and Greta Straub, Finley Hollnagel. Sisters Maxine (Lyle) Maschoff, Arlene (Jim) Hewett, Elaine (Joe) Wieskus, Sharon (Darb) Niss, Audre Anderson, and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents Howard and Grace Anderson, brother: Richard Anderson, sister: Donna Najt, and beloved son Jeff Reineke. Lois will be greatly missed by family and many friends. She was a very special lady and brought joy to many hearts.

Services will be held on Saturday, October 20 at St.Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church at 11:00 a.m. with visitation prior from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Private family interment at Ottawa Cemetery at a later date. St. Peter Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Memorials preferred in lieu of flowers.
