David (Dave) F. Bussman, age 80 of St. Peter, died on June 6, 2007 after a battle with cancer.
A memorial visitation will be held from 1-4 pm on Saturday, June 9, 2007 at St. Peter Funeral Home " Klein Chapel. St. Peter Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
David was born on June 17, 1926 to A. Max & Myrtle (Wood) Bussman in Mankato, MN. He married Arlyce Austin on September 8, 1950.
He Graduated from St. Peter High School in 1943 and served in the US Army Air Corp From 1943 to 1946. He attended trade school in Southern California, worked as a diesel mechanic for most of his life and spent 2 years teaching at Staples VoTech before retiring in 1982. He was a voracious reader and crossword puzzle enthusiast. He enjoyed gardening and had a small pig farm when he was younger.
He was preceded in death by his parents, only brother John, and a grandson Shawn Michael.
He is survived by his wife Arlyce; 4 children: Michael (Linda) of Ringle WI, Larry of Whittier AK, Doug of Reno NV and Nancy of St. Peter; Six grandchildren: Heather, Karri (Kenny), Ethan, Steve, Emily and Dillon; 4 great-grandchildren: Tyler, Andrew, Steven and Makenna; numerous cousins and close friends (you know who you are!)
In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the Nicollet County historical Society.
