Arthur John Schuck (age 86) of St. Peter died of cancer on Friday, July 6, 2007 at Divine Providence Nursing Home in Sleepy Eye, Minnesota.

Funeral service will be 10:00 AM on Tuesday, July 10, 2007 at the Church of St. Peter in St. Peter, burial in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation on Monday evening at the Church of St. Peter from 5:00 PM till 7:00 PM with a rosary being recited at 6:30 PM; visitation also continues one hour prior to services on Tuesday. St. Peter Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Arthur was born October 22, 1920, the sixth child of Jacob and Josephine (Nattier) Schuck. He attended Oshawa Country School, St. Peter Grade School and graduated from St. Peter High School. Arthur also attended the Mankato School of Business. He worked at the family businesses of the trucking company and the North Star Store in Oshawa Township. Arthur also worked at the Dairy Store, Larson Boat Company and for many years at Hardees in St. Peter. He was an avid gardener and operated a stand at several Farmers Markets. Arthur also competed at the Nicollet County Fair, winning many grand championships for his produce. His specialty was potatoes.

Arthur as a devoted member of the Church of St. Peter and a member of the Knights of Columbus as well as the Dominic Club. He enjoyed dancing, photography and his gardening.

Arthur is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends Rod and Barb VanZee.

Preceding Arthur in death were his parents and his five siblings, Amelia (Michael) Bresnahan, Marie (Kenneth) Burg, Henry (Bertha and Beula), Francis (Marie) and Jacob (Florence).
