Kenneth Ray Washington (age 69) of St. Peter died Sunday, August 12th at his residence in St. Peter.
Funeral service will be 10:00 AM; Wednesday, August 15, 2007 at New Creation World Outreach Church in North Mankato. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church on Wednesday. St. Peter Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Kenneth was born June 13, 1938 in Miami, OK to Cyrus Jr. and Delores (Ketcher) Washington. He held various jobs during his lifetime, including produce manager at Econo Food in St. Peter and retired from Kato Lite at age 65. Kenneth loved all sports and was especially fond of the Oklahoma Sooners. For five years he has been a volunteer chaplain on the 2nd floor at Immanuel St. Joseph Hospital in Mankato, and was active in his church by serving as an usher.
Surviving are his children: his son; Ray and his wife Sharon Washington of North Mankato, his daughter; Gina Lishbrook of CA, 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; two sisters; Doris Kley of Tulsa, OK and Jolene Hooper of Miami, OK; his brother, James Washington of Austin, TX, numerous nieces and nephews.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters.
