Kenneth Miller, age 90 of Mankato and formerly of Richfield, died on Tuesday, September 6, 2011 at Keystone Community in Mankato.
Funeral service will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday, September 10, 2011 at the Church of St. Peter in St. Peter with Fr. Phil Schotzko officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery, St. Peter. St. Peter Funeral Home " Klein Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
Kenneth was born on November 15, 1920 in St. Peter to Albert and Emma (Young) Miller. He is a graduate of St. Peter schools. He was in the US Navy stationed in Cuba during WWII. He was united in marriage to Helen Schmidt in 1950. They made their home in Richfield and Ken worked as an avionics technician. He was a member of St. Richard's Catholic Church in Richfield. He enjoyed camping, photography and working with his hands.
Kenneth is survived by his wife, Helen of Mankato; children: Mike (Jodi) of Buffalo Grove IL, Joan (Greg) Porten of Lakeville, Ron of Bloomington and Steve of Eden Prairie; four grandchildren: John, Laurie, Ben and Daniel; brothers: Charles "Butler" of Mankato and Jim (Margaret) of St. Peter; sisters-in-law Marie and Leona Miller both of St. Peter; and many other relatives.
