Age 98 died on January 17, 2011 at the Good Shepherd Nursing Home in Sauk Rapids, MN. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, January 22, 2011 at Trinity Lutheran Church in St. Peter with visitation one hour prior to the service at the church.

Mildred was born on July 28, 1912 in St. Peter to Isaac and Martha (Ziebarth) Erickson. She graduated from St. Peter High School and continued her education at Mankato Commercial College. She worked at the St. Peter School Hospital for several years. She worked as a secretary for the Secretary of the Minnesota School Board association for many years. She married George Stotz on July 10, 1935 in St. Peter. They were married for 57 years, enjoying fishing, camping, bowling and traveling. Mildred was devoted to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and an active member of her church. Quick to laugh, she entertained family and friends with humorous anecdotes of life's peculiarities with her fresh, honest perspective. Mildred lived in St. Peter until 2002 when she moved to the Good Shepherd Nursing Home in Sauk Rapids.

Survivors include her two daughters and their husbands: Sandra and Gordy Clafton of Red Wing, MN and Susan and Chuck Pogemiller of St. Cloud MN; brother Ray Erickson of Salem OR; sister Betty Gustafson of Eagan MN; five grandchildren: Laura and Travis Caron of Augusta ME, Bill and Heather Clafton with son Graham of Rosemont MN, Charles and Lindsey Pogemiller with sons Julian and Ellery of Minneapolis MN; and Hope Pogemiller of St. Louis Park MN, Kimberly and Dana Chandler with children Landen, Ella and Georgiahna of Zumbrota, MN. She was preceded in death by her husband George and three brothers: Glen, Robert and Richard Erickson.
