Doug was born on November 10, 1942 in St. Peter to Luther and Verna Mae (Block) Anderson. He attended St. Peter High School, graduating in 1960, and then joined and served in the Army. In 1969 he married Linda (Larson) Anderson and they celebrated their 43rd wedding anniversary in September this year. His dedication and loyalty to his wife was unwavering.

Doug worked at Bolton & Menk as a Land Surveyor for 43 years. He was proud of his 2 sons and enjoyed his time hunting, doing odds and ends, and just being the best dad. He valued his family and friends. He would do anything, for anyone, at anytime. He genuinely cared for the many people he knew and became friends with in his life. He loved spending time with his "snookie", Auden, his granddaughter. They spent countless hours playing, at the farm, coloring, reading books, and just enjoying being together. He lit up every time he saw her, and she felt the exact same way about her Grampy. He enjoyed being at the farm, hunting, gardening, spending time with his family, and just being his goofy, silly, kind hearted self.

His sense of humor, wit, and relentless need to poke fun at others are some things that will continue to make us smile as we remember a great husband, father, Grampy and friend.

Doug is survived by his wife Linda; sons: Brian (Lisa) and Jesse (Natalee); granddaughter Auden; siblings: Jim, Myrna Scheffert, Sheldon, Arnold, Wallace, and Charlotte Kamps; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents.
