Bertram "Pete" Prust, age 84 of St. Peter passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, October 11, 2007.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday, October 13, 2007 at Union Presbyterian Church in St. Peter. Visitation will be from 4-7 Friday (TODAY) at St. Peter Funeral Home "Klein Chapel and continue one hour prior to the service at church. Burial will be at 2:30 Saturday at the Lake Belt Cemetery in Ceylon, MN. St. Peter Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Bertram was born in Ceylon on April 29, 1923 to Otto and Anna (Senf) Prust. After high school he attended Mankato Commercial College for banking. He served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He retired from the First National Bank in St. Peter after 45 years of service. He also prepared taxes and did bookkeeping for many area residents.
He enjoyed traveling, playing cards, golf and was a baseball fanatic. He was a member of the St. Peter Legion club and the VFW.
He is survived by his wife Ann; children: Michael, Linda, John, Dave, Lois, Karen, Karleen and their mother Eleanore; step-children: Mary Lindstrom, Jean Welch, and Gwyn Ploog; Grandchildren Chelsey, Brian, Tommy and Bobby; 7 step grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; 3 sisters: Anna Mae & Alice of Fairmont, and Laura of MT; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
He is preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers, 1 sister and wife Imogene and son Paul.
