LaDonna Thompson, age 77 of St. Peter, died on Thursday, February 27, 2014.
Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, March 3, 2014 at St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church in St. Peter with burial at Trinity Cemetery, Nicollet. Visitation will be from 2:00 " 5:00 pm on Sunday at the church and one hour prior to the service on Monday. St. Peter Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
LaDonna was born on October 17, 1936 in Granby Township, Nicollet County to Art and Selma (Wills) Menk. She attended country school through second grade and parochial school through 8th grade at Trinity in Nicollet. LaDonna worked for 25 years at the St. Peter Community Care Center and after retirement worked in several volunteer positions in the community. She always had time to help others and was always happy with what she had.
LaDonna is survived by her children: Gary (Linda) of Shakopee, Barry (Karen) of Owatonna, Carrie (Wayne) Passon of St. Peter and Jerry (Dee) of White Bear Lake; 15 grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; brother, Rolland (Eunice) Menk of Lake City; sister, Charleen (Duane) Rossow of St. Peter; three sisters-in-law: Ruth Thompson and Darlene Havemeier both of Nicollet and Mary Lou Thompson of St. Peter; special friends Nathan and Kristan Enz of Kasota and Karen and Steve Graff of Owatonna.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sons Duane and Terry.
