Donna Anderson, age 86, of Le Sueur, and formerly of St. Peter, passed away peacefully at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis on Wednesday, April 02, 2014.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 5, 2014 at First Lutheran Church in St. Peter with Rev. Alan Bray officiating. Visitation will be from 4:30 " 7:00 pm at St. Peter Funeral Home ~Klein Chapel and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday.
Donna was born on October 21, 1927 on a farm in rural Gibbon MN to Alfred and Joyce Taralseth. She married Vernon Anderson on March 12, 1949. She worked numerous jobs during her life; the last being for the St. Peter School District before her retirement. She was a member of the Le Sueur Saddle Club for many years and enjoyed gardening and her cat, Beau.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents Alfred and Joyce. She will be greatly missed by her husband of 65 years, Vernon; daughter, Kristine of Prior Lake; son, Richard (Cathy) of Princeton; brothers: Daryl (Marlys) of Baudette MN and Lonnie (Kathy) of Gibbon; sister, LaVonne (Loren) Gates of Rochester and numerous nieces and nephews.
