After a lengthy illness Glenn Geary, age 87 of St. Peter, passed away on Saturday, May 17, 2014 at Hillcrest Health Care Center in Mankato.
Memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at First Presbyterian Church in Kasota with Rev. Dawn Carder officiating. Burial will be at Kasota Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:00 am until the start of the service at the church. St. Peter Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.
Glenn was born on April 2 1927 to Leon and Leona Geary. He joined the army during WWII and was stationed in Germany. After his discharge, he returned to the area and drove truck for several trucking companies. In 1963, he started his own trucking business, operating it until retiring in 1990. In his retirement, he drove cars for auto dealerships. He was very proud of his military service and his trucking success.
Left to remember Glenn are his wife, Juanita; son: Michael; daughters: Donna (Bob Atyao, Jeanette (Sam) Reinke and Beverly (Dale) Knaak; several grand and great grandchildren; step sons: Dean (Barb) and Fred (Candi) Olson; and several step grand and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Celestine Schull, brother Robert and step daughter Judy Hewitt.
