John Dennis Feldmann passed away on Sunday, June 22nd, 2014 at his home in St. Peter, MN due to complications related to ALS. Memorial services will be held Friday, June 27th at St. Michael's Church (108 Bullis St.) in Kenyon MN at 4:30pm. An open house celebration of John's life will be held following the memorial service from 5-7pm. Condolences of those unable to attend may be sent to the family at 41206 Cedar Ridge Road, St. Peter, MN 56082.

John was born November 28th, 1950 in St. James, MN to Ferdinand and Florence Feldmann. He graduated from Kenyon High School and went on to earn a degree in Art from Gustavus Adolphus College in 1975. John was very athletic and continues to hold the record for the long-jump at Gustavus which he was inducted into the hall of fame for in 1997. John also enjoyed pottery/sculpture, natural science, fishing, gardening, and camping in the boundary waters with his friends. He was an incredibly hard working, intelligent, and compassionate man; he valued a quality job over anything else. He retired from the MN State Security Hospital and continued cement work in both South Dakota as well as here in Minnesota.

John is survived by his daughter; Kelsey (Bill) Hutchins, three grandchildren; Skylar, Dylan, and Saalyeari (Allie), his Mother; Florence Feldmann, brother; Hank Feldmann, Sisters'; Dianne (Robert) Vangness and Bev (Bruce) Hogy, as well as countless friends. He will now be joining his youngest daughter; Karissa Feldmann, father; Ferdinand Feldmann, and good friend; Randy Burrows. John will be forever loved and missed by all who knew him.
