Harold Polenske went to be with his loved ones who went before him on July 19, 2014. He died suddenly but in great care at Abbott Northwestern Hospital from pancreatitis.

Harold was born on May 23, 1927 on Eagan Township, MN to William and Rose (Radke) Polenske. He served in the US Air Force, stationed at various bases for 8 years before being honorably discharged in 1960. Harold worked as a mail handler at the US Post Office for 20 years until health issues forced him to retire. On June 8, 1947, he was united in marriage to Donna Hale in Cleveland. He was a people person, who enjoyed laughing and talking with everyone he knew or met. He enjoyed his cars, collected coins and liked to bowl in his younger days and he enjoyed tinkering in his garage and yard. He was very willing to help anyone who needed help fixing things and was a great handyman. Harold was a member of the Cleveland Church of Christ, the Elks Lodge, the American Legion, Disabled American Vets and the National Association of Retired Federal Employees.

Left to remember Harold are his loving wife of 67 years, Donna; daughter: Karen Kay (Donald) Wollin; granddaughter: Tammy Lynn Gibbens: great grandchildren: Natalie Lynn, Madison Kelly and Chandler Donald Gibbens; brother: Elmer Polenske; sisters-in-law: Doris Krentz and Darlene Hale; Brother-in-law: Dayton (Joanne) Hale; six nieces and six nephews; and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister-in-law: Patricia Polenske; and brother-in-law Darwin Hale.

Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 on Friday, July 25, 2014 at the Church of Christ in Cleveland with Burial at Kasota Hill Cemetery, Kasota. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorials may be given to the Cleveland Church of Christ. St. Peter Funeral Home ~ Klein Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
