Donald Hofferbert

Donald Hofferbert, age 84 of St. Peter, died on Sunday, August 10, 2014 at the Rivers Edge Hospital in St. Peter.

Funeral Service will be at 11:00 am on Wednesday, August 13, 2013 at St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church in St. Peter with Pastor Charles Degner officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. St. Peter Funeral Home ~ Klein Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.

Donald was born on June 16, 1930 in Henning MN to Edwin and Myrtle (Haine) Hofferbert. In 1951, he was united in marriage to Ramona Venzke. Together they raised five children. He enlisted in the US Army in 1951, serving in Korea until his honorable discharge in 1953. Donald worked in maintenance at the St. Peter Community Hospital, retiring as supervisor after 35 years. Ramona passed away in 1987 and he later married RaVae Eustis. He enjoyed music, golf, travel and woodworking.

Left to remember Donald are his children: Cheryl (Michael) Chaves of Henderson, Kevin (Lori) of Colorado, Melanie (Wade) Armstrong of Northfield and Corey (Lisa) of St. Peter; step son: Randy (Amy) Eustis of Gaylord; 14 grandchildren: Stacy, Ryan, Marysia, Miranda, Cassandra, Kyle, Kyra, Cecily, Alexandra, Samantha, Becky, Luke, Max and Cooper; six great grandchildren; siblings: George, Alice Ritter and Edwin (Dorothy); and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by both wives; son Steve; and siblings: Clem and Etta Jahnke.
