Lorraine M. Struck, age 89 of St. Peter, passed away on Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at Ecumen Sand Prairie in St. Peter.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, February 23, 2012 at St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church with Rev. Charles Degner officiating. Burial will be at Cleveland Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 " 7:00 pm on Friday, February 22 at the church and will continue one hour prior to the service. Memorials are preferred to the church in Lieu of flowers. St. Peter Funeral Home " Klein Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.

Lorraine Marie was born on February 14, 1924 in St. Peter to Emil and Mamie (Haack) Johnson. She is a graduate of St. Peter High School and then attended beauty college. On April 5, 1946 she was united in marriage to Gordon Struck at St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran and they made their home in rural Cleveland. She worked three years at the Modern Beauty Shop in St. Peter and then worked as a cook for 18 years at Cleveland School and 10 years at Green Giant. She was a member of St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran and also kept busy being a 4H Leader, a member of the Le Sueur County Extension and church Ladies Aid. She was twice named Outstanding Senior Citizen in Le Sueur County. She enjoyed playing cards, cooking, traveling, being around and having coffee with friends, and living life.

Left to cherish her memory are: her husband of 66 years, Gordon; children: Duane (Bernadine), James (Denise), Gerald (Terri), Deborah (Robert) Gehrke, and Suzanne; grandchildren: Kelly, Tonia Knapp, John, Christy Leopold, Jill, Brian, Kyle, Kim Gehrke,and Katie Gehrke; great-grandchildren: Kaylee, Gavin, Olivia, MaKenzie Mealey, and Sabrina and Isabella Knapp.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two grandsons: Andy and Mike Struck and a sister, Shirley Nusbaum.
