Sophie Carolyn Adolphson, age 100 of St. Peter, died on Friday, March 8, 2013 at Sunrise of Golden Valley.
Memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, March 15, 2013 at First Lutheran Church, St. Peter with Rev. Don Holmstrom officiating. Burial will be at Resurrection Cemetery, St. Peter. Visitation is one hour prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to First Lutheran Church. St. Peter Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Sophie was born on April 4, 1912 in Lake Prairie Township to Phillip J. and Magdeline (Johannack) Schoeb. Sophie graduated from St. Peter High School and Lee's School of Cosmetology. After graduation, Sophie worked in Minneapolis for 13 years. Sophie married Waldo Adolphson, July 9, 1941 and they made their home in St. Peter. She was employed at the Regional Treatment Center for 17 years retiring in 1977.
Sophie is survived by: two grandchildren: Michael and Liesa Helfen, several nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Waldo; daughter Kristin and son-in-law Dieter Helfen.
