Alice Kuhle, a cherished mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, passed away September 02, 2024. Born on November 4, 1929, to Kathryn and Henry Herzog, Alice lived a life defined by her deep spiritual faith and by saying the rosary daily. Alice graduated from St. Joseph’s Academy in 1948 and followed her passion for caring for others by completing a nursing program at Children’s Hospital in 1949. Her early career saw her working in various doctors’ offices.
Her life took a beautiful turn when she joined the Dominic Club, where she met her future husband, Leo Kuhle (Wulfekuhle). Together, they shared a deep love for both each other and their profession. Her ability to turn any gathering into a memorable occasion was a testament to her vibrant spirit and generosity.
After retiring in 1991, Alice and Leo enjoyed new adventures in Fairhope, Alabama, and Leesburg, Florida, before returning to Minnesota in 2011 and to North Dakota . Following Leo’s death, Alice moved to Arizona with her son, where she rekindled her special bond with her sister Betty. In 2018, as her health declined, she returned to Minnesota to live with her daughter and son-in-law. In 2023, she moved to Sand Prairie assisted living, where she made many new friends.
