Anita Fay LaBarr

Anita Fay LaBarr, age 72 of LeSueur, passed away on Thursday, December 11 at French Meadow Place, Le Sueur, MN. 

Anita was born on August 25, 1953 to Leo and Caroline (Weiger) LaBarr in South Dakota. She graduated from Summit High School (Summit, SD) in 1971. After graduation she became a nanny/caregiver to a family in Alaska and later moved to Minnesota to continue this career with two different families. She later began her work life in the hospitality industry working for Beaver Dam Resort and later with Kwik Trip. She had a terrific sense of humor and loved people and enjoyed the interactions with them in all facets of her life. She was very creative and enjoyed baking and making crafts. One of her greatest joys was being with her family and sitting down to play a competitive game of cards. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Caroline LaBarr and six siblings, Katherine Lee, George LaBarr, Ralph LaBarr, John LaBarr, Donald LaBarr. She is survived by her sisters, Julia Rohlfing of Cleveland, MN and Helen Klundtz of Cleveland, MN and several nephews and nieces.

A public visitation will be 4:00pm-6:00pm Thursday, December 18, 2025 at St. Peter Funeral Home with a service at 6:00pm. She will be laid to rest in South Dakota at a future date.
