Ann Marie Vaughn, a vibrant soul and a true force of joy, passed away on May 1, 2026, surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with Breast Cancer. Born in New Orleans, Louisiana on December 8, 1961, to Joseph and Mary(Palermo)Vaccaro, Ann Marie brought light and laughter wherever she went.
She graduated from Pearl River High in 1979 and went on to marry Kem Vaughn on July 1st 1982. She had a passion for working with horses and could often be found enjoying the thrill of the Kentucky Derby. For most of her adult life, Ann Marie delighted in creating delicious treats as she worked in a bakery until her retirement. She moved to Minnesota to be closer to her children and grandchildren in 2013.
Known for her infectious positivity and detailed stories, Ann Marie had a reputation for always being fashionably late but never failing to arrive with a smile on her face and her dear mother not too far behind her. She found pure joy in the presence of her grandchildren and cherished every moment spent with them. She had a knack for finding hidden treasures through thrifting and had a deep appreciation for all things trinkets.
She is survived by her loving husband, Kem Vaughn; her Mother Mary Vaccaro; daughters Tina (Bradley) Vaughn of St. Peter and Sabrina (Chet) Wilking of Kasota; grandchildren Kendrick (Samantha), Kerrigan (Owen), Keaton, Taghlija, Kye, Kennady, and Kellen; as well as numerous nephews, cousins, great-nieces, great-nephews and in-laws whom she held close to her heart including her beloved cat Scout.
Ann Marie is preceded in death by her father, Joseph Vaccaro, best friend Lynda Deshotel, Brother-in-law Bill Vaughn and Aunt Angeline and Uncle Carlo Corolla.
In her memory, let us celebrate Ann Marie's zest for life, her unwavering love for her family, and the light she brought to all who knew her. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered for her kind spirit, warm heart, and her ability to find beauty in the simplest of things. Rest in Peace, Your legacy of love and laughter lives on.
