Arlen Krugerud

Arlen Orean Ferris Krugerud, of St. Peter, Minnesota, passed away at the age of 88 on August 1, 2026.

Funeral service will be 11:00am Monday, August 10, 2026 at Trinity Lutheran Church, St. Peter with Red Men Honors to follow. Visitation will begin at 10:00am Monday at the church. Burial will be 12:00pm Tuesday, August 11, 2026 at Lac qui Parle Lutheran Cemetery, rural Dawson with military honors.

Arlen was born on February 21, 1938, in Dawson, Minnesota, the oldest of four children born to Arnold Krugerud and Anna (Hiepler) Krugerud.

Arlen married Jeanette Rekstad in 1959. Together they built a loving home and were blessed with two sons, Kurt and Keith. Jeanette preceded him in death in 1999.

In 2002, Arlen married Roberta Manser, and together they made their home in St. Peter, Minnesota, where they enjoyed many happy years together.

Arlen devoted his professional life to banking. He began his banking career in Marshall, Minnesota, and over the years faithfully served many communities in Nebraska and Minnesota. He concluded his distinguished career at First National Bank in Le Center, where he earned the respect of colleagues and customers alike through his integrity, dedication, and friendly manner.

Arlen will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Roberta Manser; his sons, Kurt (Stephanie) Krugerud and Keith Krugerud; Roberta's children, Robert (Nancy) Manser, Donna Manser, and Diana (Lenny) Miller; his grandchildren, Frazier (Jon) and Peyton; Roberta's grandchildren, Valerie (Sean), Rachel (Luke), Marcus (Emily), Maranda (Lance), and Logan; seven great-grandchildren; and his brothers, Arden (Susan) and Leland (Paula).

He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Jeanette; his sister, Ardis; Roberta's grandson, Mitchell; and her great-granddaughter, Madyson.

Arlen will be remembered for his quiet strength, steadfast work ethic, devotion to his family, and the kindness he showed to those around him. His legacy lives on through the many lives he touched, both personally and professionally.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the donor's choice.
